Good to Know

Kitchen

The kitchen features a beautiful but temperamental Italian range.

• To use the stovetop burner: keep the knob pressed in and hold the flame on for about 30 seconds before releasing and placing a pan on top.

• If the burner flames out, remove the pan, relight the flame for at least a minute before placing the pan back.

• To use the oven, touch the digital display and you’ll get an icon for the two ovens.

The kitchen is well stocked, but there are some hidden storage spaces:

• On each side of the range, the second drawer from the top has a hidden little drawer with condiments, supplies, and utensils.

• The cabinets under the island facing the refrigerator contain useful appliances like blenders and juicers.

• Grilling utensils are in a drawer below the glass cabinets.

If you want to read extremely boring appliance manuals, they are in the right bottom drawer below the glass cabinetry in the kitchen.
Any food in the pantry or refrigerator is fair game.

AV

• TVs are on a local wired network. If they lose connection, restart to the wired connection, not wireless.

• Each TV has our login profiles saved for Max, Netflix, Hulu, Disney, and Amazon Prime.

• Feel free to use those or change to your own.

• For regular cable channels (News, ESPN, Network TV, etc), use the DirectTV app.

• To play music on the Sonos system, use your own streaming app and select the rooms where you want music.

Arcade

Key things to operate the arcade machine in the loft:

• On/off switch is facing the wall

• For 2-player mode, switch orientation of screen (orientation button marked)

• Select category “cocktail”

• Use joystick to select game (Pac-Man Midway is the classic)

• If credits = 0, reload by pressing credits button

Games

There are plenty of games in the cabinets on either side of the fireplace and also in the red cabinet in the lower level.

Fire Pit

To use the fire pit on the deck:

• You need the long gas key (may be above the fireplace on the mantle)

• You’ll also need an igniter, which you can find in the kitchen or maybe sitting by the fire pit

Air Conditioning

• The AC thermostat in the hallway controls heating and cooling in the common areas and the master bedroom.

• Lower level only has heating—it stays cool naturally.

• The master bedroom and loft bedroom each have their own mini-split ACs controlled with a remote control.

Hot Tub

• Hot tub is kept at 100°

• If you want it hotter, turn up the temperature at least 30 minutes before using

• Please replace the cover after each use

Garbage & Recycling

• Property managers will take garbage and recycling out to the curb and return bins to the garage

• If you have extra, just leave bags in front of the bins

• Important: Glass does not go in the big recycling can—use the blue bins in the garage corner

• The Market – 5 minute drive

• Good Earth Market (health food market & café) – 5 minute drive

• Whole Foods – Located in Kimball Junction – 10 minute drive

Lots of good eating in PC. Our favorites:

• Harvest (breakfast & lunch)

• Five Seeds (breakfast all day & lunch – go early, beat the wait)

• Good Earth Café (vegetarian – salads, sandwiches, smoothies)

• Blind Dog (dinner)

• Yuki Yama (sushi)

Hiking

There are a gazillion hiking trails in PC, but there is one you can walk to:

• Make a right leaving the house

• Another right at Iron Canyon Ct

• Follow to the cul-de-sac, where you’ll find the trailhead for the Iron Canyon Trail

In winter, you can sled down that trail.
Sleds are in the garage cabinets.

Sundance Resort

• 40 min drive

• You can hike to Stewart Falls and back — about 3.5 miles round trip

• Foundry Grill is a great spot for lunch or dinner
